I had reviewed exhibits submitted by Karen Hill, Cody Torpey, Kelly O’Keefe, David Ptylik and Dan Collins. I choose to review exhibits by these students because during the semester I replied to their discussion form posts a lot. The interaction and feedback I received from these students made it enjoyable to view their exhibits.
I choose to critique Dan Collins exhibit because while reading it I enjoyed the information and pictures he presented. Also throughout the semester Dan and I had a lot of the same opinions and ideas about artwork and discussion forms. Also I choose his exhibit because the information he presented was the original idea that I had but I changed my mind later in the week, so I was interested to see what type of information and artwork he was able to find.
There were not really any challenges that I faced while I was critiquing Dan’s exhibit. I found all of the information well presented. However, the only difficulty I had was properly critiquing the article. While writing the critique I was not sure if I was doing it correctly and properly following the format. I did use the guidelines presented to us in the lesson tab so I am hoping my critique was done correctly.
I enjoy critiquing the work of my peers; it allows students to see the work of other classmates. Also because this is an online class we only interact through discussion forms but with critiquing it allows students to interact as well as see the work created by other students and can inspire and influence them throughout the rest of the studies.
I would not mind reading the critique that other students wrote about the exhibit I created. This exhibit was enjoyable to make so I would not mind getting the feedback of other students. Also getting feedback allows me to know what I did right and wrong while creating this exhibit.
I would rate my finished article an 8 because I am not completely confident that I used the right format to critique Dan’s exhibit. I do however think that the feedback that I gave was useful and can be helpful in the future, if he takes another course like this.
Yes, I did enjoy working on this project. As stated above I enjoy interacting with my fellow students as well as getting ideas about future projects or presentations.
